For the next season, we are looking for a Maitre Room Service to join the team.

The Butler runs the room service operations.

As well as managing the work of the dedicated brigade, he/she is responsible for guests relations and for ensuring that they receive impeccable service at all times, in line with the standards of excellence of Belmond.

Ultimately, he will help us provide the best possible experience for our guests during their stay. He/she reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Anticipate guests' needs and handle guest complaints, providing an excellent and personalized guest room service experience in line with our service standards
Cooperate with the Restaurant Manager for staff development; manage staff in everyday operations according to our standard and procedures
Anticipate guests needs and handle guest complaints
Maintain a professional relationship with guests and colleagues
Supervise and manage F&B service in the room
Personalize the in room bar offer

Requirements:

Competencies required:

Effective communication, emotional intelligence and adaptability
Collaboration: be a role model for teamwork, and proactively go out of your way to help others
Drive results: set clear goals and expectations and maximize resource allocation to achieve them
Global perspective: treat one another with respect and inclusiveness regardless of position, level or background
Be capable of advising on best selling prices and review regularly according to the Restaurant Manager's instructions

Other requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in the same role in the luxury hotel industry
Experience preferably at an international level in a fine dining restaurant required
Fluent in English and Italian; a third language is desirable
Professional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian & International wines
Exceptional customer service skills
Customer focused with a "Yes, We Can" attitude
