Technology Project Manager:

To continue our growth, we are hiring new talents. We are now looking for an experienced Technology Project Manager (TPM) to join our Enterprise Architecture Team.

The TPM role is to contribute to the planning and realization of the Enterprise Architecture roadmap by leading the implementation of technology and transversal projects, which are used to develop and run the new global and enterprise-wide Information System to be delivered by the Program.

The scope of activities of the TPM includes all the project management responsibilities, a wide understanding of enterprise IT technologies plus service management-oriented mindset.

As such, he/she will have to work in collaboration with various MSC Technology Teams worldwide.
He/She will need to understand and communicate on different viewpoints a) the beneficial impact of his/her projects, b) the activities to plan to reach the project objectives, c) the subsequent changes to manage for a successful deployment of his/her projects.
He/She will need to organize, coordinate, and manage in parallel several work packages delivery with geographically distributed teams.

He/She will be working very closely with the transversal teams and with the product teams located in Italy, Switzerland, India, North America, Belgium, etc.

A proven successful experience of several years in similar positions is expected.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

MANAGEMENT
At this stage, the TPM does not directly manage a Team. However, he/she must work efficiently and provide leadership and coaching to all Programs' Teams.


He/She will have to:

  • Establish a trusted relationship with the Program Management, Business Representatives, IT Architects, IT Operations, IT Managers, and any IT Specialist, to ensure their full understanding, participation, and commitment to the Projects
  • Take full responsibility of on the assigned projects, under supervision of his/her functional manager
  • Execute his/her projects with methodology and transparency, as per agile values and principles
  • Ensure proper and efficient communication and collaboration within the projects and with the projects' counterparts and stakeholders.
  • Help decision makers to make the right choices: communicate with stakeholders using clear and concise language, prepare and comment decision matrices tailored to the readers
  • Adopt and promote a pragmatic approach in solving issues
  • Anticipate and manage risks, in coordination with his/her functional manager
  • Provide reporting and support documents in time to his/her functional manager
  • Verify and contribute to the validation of the Projects Team's subsequent deliverables

LEADERSHIP
Five key objectives should drive the Technology Project Management:

  • Facilitate the definition of projects scopes, goals and deliverables
  • Lead the planning, study, design, implementation, testing and deployment phase of the Projects
  • Provide leadership in the definition and design of the solutions to meet architecture capabilities requirements
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the team, evaluate performance and manage continuous improvement
  • Align design and implementation choices with business and IT needs in conformance with OneVision EA roadmaps
The Technical Project Manager will strive to provide MSC with the best IT Services, according to these objectives.

He/She will ensure that the IT systems fulfill the non-functional requirements and respect the service management constraints for efficient transition handover.


CONTRIBUTION

  • Advise, promote, coach, coordinate the use of the Architecture Solutions related to his/her projects.
  • Actively participate in the components identification and their dependencies with other systems in the enterprise architecture; review, assess and prepare decisions to be taken by Program's Management and Architecture Committee(s)
  • He/She will ensure that all Projects and Applications effectively use technical components as per the validated Technical Architecture Design
  • Build technical components user guides, guidelines for other IT and Program's Teams
