SYSTEM V&V LEAD ENGINEER - ETCS - RAILWAY SIGNALLING DOMAIN.

Role Overview

The selected resource - acting as part of an agile team aimed at giving a qualified support to the Engineering Dept.

within a complex, structured environment with high pitched professional standards - will take part to major deployment projects of onboard signalling and train control by organizing and performing the verification, integration and test activities of a Signaling project, fitting the Client's needs in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.

He/She will define, manage, and execute all project activities related with Verification, Integration and Testing, cooperating tightly with Test & Commissioning to complement in-house with on-site testing activities, and sharing with Project Engineering Manager and Project Safety Assurance Manager the V&V strategy defined to deliver a validated solution.

Responsibilities:

Creation of V&V plan ensuring full test coverage
Creation of test description and test reports
Creation and configuration of test environment
Execution

of tests both in laboratory and in field

Reporting status/outputs of tests to V&V manager
Management of the Change Requests raised after tests execution
Support the Requirements Management Plan by ensuring traceability of the tests and requirements

Requisiti:

Background, qualifications and desired experience:

BSc / MSc Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, IT / TLC or similar background);
5 years working with ETCS / CBTC onboard systems with exposure to V&V activities
Experience in Italian and International ERTMS projects
Collaboration with different departments such as Safety, Test and Commissioning, design, etc.
Experience scheduling and planning activities
ERTMS technical competence development.
Experience acting as mentor for new team members
Experience setting up test bench in laboratory
