Your responsibilities and tasks:


To strengthen our team in "Global Manufacturing Strategy & Network Optimization in the Global Production Organization of GEA, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and committed new employee on the earliest possible date.

The location of this position is in Sala Baganza.

  • Optimization of the production network inline with our "Global Manufacturing Footprint Strategy" & Factory of the Future" ambitions to drive automation projects
  • Management of international restructuring projects where identification and integration of automation solutions & product transfer are key elements
  • Provision of expertise om automation solutions, conceptualization &implementation support for GEAs factories
  • Position requires close alignment with other stakeholders from the Global Production organization (e.g. digitalization, OPEX, Controlling) & Divisions (e.g. Production Heads, Lean Managers)
  • Optimize, maintain & analyse machine data as well as manufacturing data
  • Project identification and concept preparation, including business cases and feasibility checks as well as risk assessments
  • Project execution and tracking of status and progress, in close partnership with stakeholders at global and local level
  • Presentation of project concepts, progress and results in front of the global production management

Your profile and qualifications:


  • University degree in mechanical engineering, automation, Industrial engineering or similar
  • At least 35 years of relevant professional experience in a renowned industrial company
  • Expertise in manufacturingrelated improvement projects
  • Strong analytic skills combined with a solutionoriented way of working & resilience
  • High degree of independence and autonomy
  • Capability to handle international project settings and to bridge cultural differences
  • Aboveaverage motivation, team spirit and willingness to learn
  • High willingness to travel
  • Business fluent in English and Italian, German is a plus
  • Profound Knowledge of MS Office, Visual Components and / or NX Line designer
