The Role

As Scalapay grows, Valentina Sapigni, our Merchant Operations Manager, is looking for an Onboarding intern to join their team for the next 6 months (fixed-term) to help with the growing French market.

This role is based in Milan where we'll expect to see you at least three days per week, but as per our smartworking policy, we also allow you to work two remote days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Make sure that merchants understand and are helped on the due diligence process
Having regular calls with the merchants in order to make them understand the process of onboarding
Make sure merchants are onboarded and provide documentation in a timely manner
Decrease the onboarding time by managing and convincing merchants to fill the due diligence form and/or the contract rapidly and properly

Expected Key Results

Improve the relationship with the merchants
Decrease the Time to live of the merchants
Increase the global satisfaction of the merchants
Organizing successful calls with them

Skills and Qualifications Required

You have an economic degree or equivalent;
You are not afraid to call and persuade merchants on the phone
You are fluent in Italian, French (strong B2/C1 level to communicate with French merchants) and English
You're datadriven and organised, you like things to run like a machine
You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written): you are able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
You're a selfstarter, autonomous & proactive: we're looking for someone who will go and get things done, not wait for instructions
It's an asset it you've previously worked in a startup/scaleup environment
An extra language such as Spanish or Portuguese is a real plus
