Alberto Panizza

Hello, my name is Alberto Panizza, I am Italian, and I am looking for a job in the hospitality trade (renting, managing, or being part of a staff) in the beautiful Kefalonia. As you can read in this email, I've already managed or worked in different hotels in different countries.

I graduated in Marketing and I worked for 8 years in a leasing agency in Milan (part-time while I was studying 2005-2008, full time after my graduation 2009-2014). After my graduation, and before starting my full time job, I lived for 1 year in Edinburgh, Scotland, working mainly as a tour guide and in a souvenir shop.

In 2014 I decided to move to Costa Rica, where I lived until January 2017, managing or renting some B&b. (you can find hotel names in my CV)

Being the manager of every hotel I stayed means that I worked on every aspect of the job. And it also means that I supervised the staff, cleaning ladies, chef or gardeners. I was always able to create a good atmosphere with the staff. And living in the jungle means that I had to fix some hard emergency, but, in the end, I was ready to solve every problem (and I learnt a lot of things).

Then I moved to Lagos (Algarve, southern Portugal), with the idea to continue my journey, but closer to my family. There I worked again in the hospitality trade, helping a couple of hotels with customer relations, with marketing and advertising, organizing tours, and helping to manage one of those hotels, Marina Lagos Guesthouse. Here again, I learnt different things and ways to manage a B&b.

After that, I felt again the call of the Real Nature and I found a new job in South Africa, in Plettenberg Bay (a nice little town in the Garden Route). I spent there part of the 2018, helping the Lala Panzi B&b with the same tasks I had before.

At the end of the year, I received a request from a friend to help him revitalize his hotel in Costa Rica and I went back to Cahuita, where I helped  the owner of Cabinas Los Tucanes to fix his property in any possible way. In the meantime I started looking for something longer lasting and for some new interesting ideas, but the Covid arrived and everything changed. I spent the 2020 working at Cabinas Los Tucanes (when guests arrived and we were not in lockdown), and making some graphic jobs for a couple of  electrical mobility shops in Italy (new websites, brochures, flyers, and scouting some European brand for new products).

Due to the dramatic touristic situation in Costa Rica I moved to Madeira, a Portuguese island in the middle of the Atlantic, in October 2020. I spent the last 2 years doing my online jobs but I never fell in love with this place, and so I decided to move, and Kefalonia is my favorite destination, where I would like to settle down for a longer time. So here I am, writing to you to see if you have any job opportunities. I am going to arrive in the middle of October, so I am looking for an opportunity starting from November (or even later, it is not a big problem, in the meantime I can continue with my online jobs)

I complete my little story (sorry if I was too long, but I preferred to explain to you my experiences, so you can know me a little bit more) telling you that I speak Italian, English, Spanish and a basic French and Portuguese. 

In the end, I love this kind of job and I love to meet new people from all over the world helping them in their holidays. All the owners I worked with were very happy about our partnership. And, after a lot of travels, my plans are to settle down for a longer time.
