MSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) – University of Pisa

During my university studies I primarily focused on my academic path, while also working part-time on weekends as a delivery driver from 2020 to today. This experience helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, time management, and the ability to balance work commitments with demanding studies.

During my Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa, I built a strong foundation in machine learning and optimization, culminating in the implementation of a neural network from scratch without relying on external ML libraries. I further deepened my knowledge through advanced courses in ML and NLP, and developed practical AI systems, including a RAG application in a Smart Applications course. Courses in Data Mining and Competitive Programming strengthened my skills in data analysis, algorithm design, and efficient problem solving under computational constraints. Additionally, through Computational Neuroscience I explored the connections between biological neural systems and artificial neural networks, with a particular focus on reservoir computing. My studies culminated in a Master’s thesis investigating reservoir computing approaches for continual learning on spatio-temporal graphs, aiming to efficiently address complex learning tasks in non-stationary environments.
