Isaac Kasoma

I am a passionate and experienced IBDP biology and chemistry teacher with over a decade of teaching experience. I am committed to helping my students reach their full potential by tailoring my teaching methods to meet their unique needs. In addition to my teaching duties, I have also served as a STEAM coordinator for 4 years, working to engage students in interdisciplinary approaches to learning science. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I am dedicated to helping them achieve their goals.

I am an experienced Science teacher specializing in IBDP Chemistry and Biology. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science with Education and currently working on completing my MBA in institutional management and investment portfolio. have been teaching for 10 years in renowned international schools like Marymount International School Rome, The British School of Lome, GEMS Cambridge International School, and  Horizon Cambridge International School. Currently, I am teaching IBDP Chemistry, and KS4 Coordinated Science at GEMS Cambridge International School Kampala. My students' performance has been exceptional, with a remarkable 100% A*- C at IGCSEs in Biology last year, and 100%  7-4 at IBDP Biology. I am confident that my students will surpass last year's achievements, and I am committed to providing them with the best education possible.

I have received professional training in IB Biology, which included a focus on internal assessments and the role of supervisors in extended essays offered by IB Professional Development. Additionally, I have undergone GSE training in Chemistry, including Cambridge IGCSE Biology (0610) and Cambridge International AS and A-level Chemistry (9710), organized by Cambridge International Examinations. To round out my training, I have also received health and safety training from various sources, including Child Protection in International Schools by the Council of British International Schools, Health and Safety for International Schools Level 2 by Educare, and Health and Safety by the Italian Government. Overall, my professional training has been comprehensive and has prepared me well for various roles in the field.
