Leonardo Rodorigo

As a Sports Science Student, Martial Artist, and Martial Arts Instructor, I have always had a passion for Sports, Fitness, and evidence-based training, which brought me to achieve a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science and to attend an M.Sc. in Health and Physical Activity at the University of "Foro Italico" in Rome. During my academic studies, besides many subjects strictly related to the sports field, I covered various topics regarding health and physical activity such as movement therapy and adapted physical activity for elderly and vulnerable populations, biomedical issues in health and exercise, and the social impact and importance of sports in health interventions. 

I also had the chance to apply this knowledge practically by working since 2014 as a sports coach and personal trainer, teaching and training to clients of all ages and levels, modifying my teaching style to adapt it to their different needs to get the best out of every session.

My working and academic background taught me that experience is never enough, therefore I constantly challenge myself and my skills, stepping outside my comfort zone to join in exciting new environments and trying to learn something. 

Since 2014, I have been working as a personal trainer and sports coach, teaching and training clients of all ages and levels, from high-performance athletes to amateurs and people who just loved being in shape, from 2yo children up to middle-aged adults. During my working experience, I learned that everyone has different needs and that training cannot be standardized, therefore I always try to change and adapt my teaching skills and methods to get the best out of every session. 

I have been mostly teaching martial arts, but also have experience in other sports disciplines, like rugby, and resistance training.

I have been studying foreign languages since I was 11, and can currently speak four languages fluently: English, French, Spanish, and Italian. I also achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science and am currently attending an M.Sc. in Health and Physical Activity. During my studies, I went through different subjects related to sport, health, and physical activity such as the physiology of training, training programming, movement therapy, adapted physical activity for elderly and special populations, and physical activity for children.
