Born in Switzerland and raised in Italy, I have as well studied, worked and lived in the USA, China and the UK. 

During my professional career I have been involved in the definition and implementation of commercial strategies for the development of sport brands (soccer, tennis, running, golf and outdoor segments) in more than 60 countries globally across continents, mainly through wholesale channels.  

What I believe makes me different from most commercial directors, it is the fact that while I believe to be a good strategic thinker and planner, I am at the same time a very down to-earth, energetic executer who likes to do whatever it takes to ensure that objectives are achieved.

I have an in-depth knowledge of the China sporting goods and retail markets, as I participated to the establishment of and ran a joint venture company which I led with responsibility on product, commercial and marketing strategies definition and implementation.

I got my Master Degree in Commercial Law, Finance and Marketing at Ca'Foscari University, Venice, Italy and my MBA at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School, London, UK.

  • 3+ years of general management experience (product, outsourcing, retail sales, wholesale sales and marketing strategy and execution responsibilities).
  • 20+ years of sales and business development experience.
  • 3+ years of product marketing experience
  • 2 years of marketing communications experience    

Educazione

I am a commercial director with a long-standing global sales experience, having defined and implemented different business development strategies for sport brands depending on national markets specific contingencies in 60+ countries across continents.

Although familiar with several commercial channels, most of my career has seen me involved in searching, selecting, negotiating mid to long term partnerships with nation-wide distributors and in supporting their business development activities in the assigned territories. Hence, I have developed familiarity with mid and short-term business planning, budgeting, and I am knowledgeable about the prevailing contractual terms, trade terms, sales incentive plans, trade marketing initiatives necessary to properly manage sport retailers and distributors.
