My name is Mairead Cooke and I am a native english speaker from Galway, Ireland. I am currently working part-time as an ESL teacher in Napoli, where i conduct lessons both online, and in-person. I cater to students of all ages and ability levels. I primarily use a communicative method to encourage my students to speak freely, whilst providing correction of grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary using gestures, facial expressions, and hot/cold correction techniques. I have completed 180 hours of EFL training, with specialisms in IELTS preparation, and English for Business purposes. Esperienza

I am currently working as an ESL teacher in Napoli, Italy. Here, I cater to students from age 11 to mature adults, ranging from complete beginner, to advanced levels. I conduct lessons both online (via zoom) and in-person, at the school. I focus on students' pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar techniques, and allow students to speak as much as possible, providing them with the greatest opportunity to improve their english skills in an everyday environment.

Istruzione

I have completed 180 hours of EFL training with the TEFL Institute of Ireland. Within this 180 hours, I completed a 30 hours English for Business training course, providing me with skills to help students looking to improve their english for professional purposes, including meeting and phone-call etiquette. I also completed a 30 hour IELTS preparation course, enabling me to give students guidance in preparation for IELTS examinations.
