I'm Paola Cucchetti and I was born on 07/25/1985 in Busto Arsizio (VA). After obtaining a scientific degree, I started the Biomedical Engineering course at the Politecnico of Milan. I followed an academic path aimed at design and mechanics, obtaining the Specialist Degree in July 2010, completed by the professional qualification as an Industrial Engineer in 2011. Subsequently, to make my professional figure even more complete, I started at LIUC - Carlo University Cattaneo of Castellanza the master’s degree in Management Engineering for Industrial Production which I obtained in April 2013 in just one academic year. In this last part of my studies, I focused mainly on the topics of Logistics, Supply Chain and industrial production. In 2020, however, I resumed my studies in health by attending a master course in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in LIUC.
To support myself during the last years of my studies, I carried out various work activities, first as an occasional collaborator in Del Bo Tecnologia per L'ascolto, then as a freelance for Exafield Srl and finally as an employee at Tecnoflam Srl, a small industrial company that taught me a lot at the logistical and administrative level.
The degree from LIUC and the knowledge acquired during my studies allowed me to gain an excellent work experience in KONE Italy at the Cadrezzate plant in the Material Management office, during which I gained experience with SAP and increased my level of knowledge of Excel. I also approached the issues of Lean management. Subsequently employed in Agesp Energia Srl in the back office I was responsable for the requests of the Busto Arsizio network. I joined ista Italia Srl in 2016 where I am currently in charge of the Marketing & Sales Support area. It has also given me the opportunity to work closely with different professional categories and to participate in training courses that I believe will be useful to me both in my working future and on a personal level (Client Management Course, Emotional Intelligence Course and Management of Stress, Advanced Excel Course). I currently collaborate actively with the country manager and I am at his support for the preparation of offers / price lists and commercial strategies from a numerical point of view, also dealing with confidential information and I am responsible for all the activities in support of the marketing department for the success of events, advertising and online companions, actively dealing with the relationship with the press office and external graphics as well as updating the social Linkedin page and the website.
Despite the opportunity offered by ista, I believe that my skills, expectations, and personal perspectives go in a different direction. In a direction that allows me to consolidate skills that are different from those that I have acquired in this company in recent months and that bring them closer to my training path. In addition to this, I am looking for opportunities abroad for which I am available for transfer.
As for languages, I have a good knowledge of English and in the last period I have taken private courses to implement it and make it more fluent. My course of study and above all the work experiences that followed did not help the development of a formal knowledge of the language at work level. Despite this, I always try to increase my level by traveling a lot in countries where the use of the English language is essential, and I always try to make an effort in speaking. Also, I am privately attending English courses to improve my speaking skills and level.
I also attended a basic Norwegian course, currently I have an A.1.1 level and in September I will continue with the next level A.1.2. Out of passion, I also took a Japanese language and culture course which has now taken me to the pre- advanced level.
As mentioned above, in 2020 I attended the COPTHA VIII course in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at LIUC, graduating in February 2021. The thesis is leading to an article that will be published in the online and paper magazine e- Health.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: During school and work experiences I have developed the attitude to work in a team as well as organizational, relational, and communicative skills. I’m able to have a productive behavior with all kinds of professional figure (either suppliers or customers, Italian or foreign) by e-mail, by phone or in person. I use complex, fluent, and relevant language in different situations.
ORGANISATIONAL/MANAGERIAL SKILLS: I can organize autonomously my work and my time. My responsibilities also cover the training of new staff and training activities for the continuous updating of my current colleagues. Strong organizational skills, even in very complex situations.

JOB-RELATED SKILLS: Good knowledge of Office programs pack (Word, Excel – advanced -, Power Point, Publisher). During the first part of my work experience and preparatory to the bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering I improve my time organization and my position in the Mario Negri Institute help me to applicate all the concepts studied into a real project work. During this period, I also work with a team of engineers and biologists that support me in my project and I also learnt to use many research instruments (laboratory instruments, sterility instruments, microtome, microscopes, etc etc...). Over the course of time and all the work experiences that I have behind me I have extended knowledge and skills. My organizational skills have allowed me to cover the last working position as marketing, pricing specialist and sales support in direct support of the country manager of a company part of an international group known especially in Germany as a market leader.
Transversely across all work activities and experiences, I have learned how to manage my time and work under stress and on deadlines. Important to note is my adaptability in various situations and position changes. In the last work experience I have implemented especially the ability to range in various fields of work (marketing, pricing, sales support) within the same working day and based on the needs of the office, colleagues, and deadlines.

Pricing Specialist, Marketing & Sales Support
Every day I support the daily activities of the country manager as in the marketing as in the sales fields. Regarding the marketing activities I coordinate the office deadlines having ordinary relation with external graphic agency and press office to schedule the contents of new publications (advice and articles) on the Italian technical magazines. In addition, I prepare the draft of the new company brochures and commercial flyers and all the advice communications for the customers (newsletter, mail, banner). All these activities are coordinated with the Social Profiles of the company (Linkedin, Facebook and Website). I’m the responsible of the updating of the contents of website company profile with Typo3 platform. ista Italia in the last 2 years didn’t participate to any fair because Covid-19 but, in the activities of my team there is also the organization of company events (internal events – sales meeting, agent meeting, etc... - as for customers or supplier – fairs, exhibitions) and customer gifts. To do all these according to the company budget, I’m responsible to elaborate and check the annual sales budget for marketing department. Regarding the sales support activities there are 2 big categories of activities I usually do: the first concern the analysis of the pricing; the second one concern the daily support of the activities of the area sales manager. ista Italia must work according to the company price policy, so I analyze the gross margins as when I prepare the new annual price list as in my daily work to check the best prices of the products that the sales manager could propose to their customers. Supporting the daily work of area sales manager, I help them to prepare the new offers and agreements for the customers. Preliminary, in the first day of the year I prepare all the templates and reports to support the area manager daily work. Another aspect of my job consists of find new suppliers of special plumbing system components and maintain a good relationship with them to create good condition of prices and procurements of the materials for ista Italia. To achieve all these skills, I had to strengthen the technical knowledge of the products in portfolio and to build strong relations with the different department as of ista Italia as of my collegues of ista international gmbh, both for marketing, sales, procurement, and technical department. Inaddition, other responsibilities of my job, and crossing all the fields, regards the updating of the public supplier’s portals for the national or regional tenders and the updating of the CRM platform (used by sales managers on their daily work of preparation of new offers and agreements) and SAP (very important for the procurement department of ista Italia).
