Yaniv Chen

Founder and creative director of Master Interior Architecture in Cape Town, South Africa. Since its inception I have conceptualised, designed and executed interior projects spanning retail, residential and hospitality. Alongside this I have spent the last few years developing an extensive range of furniture for Lemon, a high end furniture and decor company with showrooms in Cape Town and Amsterdam. Master has been featured in various international publications and recieved wide aclaim.

2015 - 2017

Spearheaded the transformation of Lemon from a service-based business to a product-based business. Scouted and recruited graphic and product designers as well as sourcing manufacturers and suppliers in order to develop an anchor collection of furniture, artwork and wallpaper.

2017 - 2019

Conceptualised the design of showrooms, wallpapers and furniture collections, and oversaw teams of illustrators, graphic designers, manufacturers and installers. Presented moodboards, conceptual sketches, materials and renders of our vision for each project to the Lemon board of directors, and then to corporate clients.

Conceptualised interiors, products and displays. Created moodboards, hand illustrations, 3d renderings, and did materials research and procurement. Created and oversaw full sets of technical
drawings for each project. Managed teams of designers, project managers, manufacters angeneral contractors, including site visits and snagging. Came up with creative solutions to budget constraints. Managed running budgets for each project. Art directed photo shoots for product.
