The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is a new interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational and structural biology and neuroscience, as well as data and decisions sciences.

The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a
Junior Facility Management Officer - Scientific Instrumentation. The new colleague will be hired with an
Apprenticeship contract according to the Italian legislation (art 44, D.lgs. n. 81/2015).


The role will support the supervision of the status of all scientific instrumentation and will work closely with researchers, laboratory managers, service technicians, suppliers on both technical and administrative tasks related to the installation, maintenance and certification of scientific equipment.


Also, the role will have to support the scientific instruments maintenance manager to ensure the documental adequacy of each contract to Legislative Decree 50/2016 and will oversee document archiving according to the Foundation's procedures.

(S)He will support the organisation and planning of instrument maintenance activities so that there is no interference with scientific research, interfacing from time to time with researchers.


Your main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Collect maintenance requirements and support the multiyear plan;
  • Support budget and tender definition;
  • Maintain a record of contracts, certifications, tests, maintenance works for small and relevant scientific instrumentation;
  • Provide support in managing contracts according to the Public Procurement Code;
  • Follow installation and maintenance on site, join dedicated meetings providing minutes;
  • Support activities of receipts for goods and service and invoicing management;
  • Support activities of guarantees, insurances, repair works and reimbursement management;
  • Manage tickets related to scientific equipment;
  • Contribute to the development of action plans for triggering nonconformities and implement necessary actions.

Mandatory requirements:


  • University degree in Engineering or related field;
  • Fluency both in English and Italian
  • HT is an international research institute;
  • Excellent use of MS Office suite.

Preferential requirements:


  • Previous experience in the role in similar sectors (i.e. internships)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Basic knowledge of Asset and Ticketing management software;

Organizational and social skills:


  • Good relational skills, teamworking, proactive approach and ability to relate with different functions within an international environment;
  • Problemsolving and autonomous in his/her own tasks;
  • Time Management Professional.
