Job Description:

We are looking for a Director Logistics that acts as the custodian for our Logistics Footprint in Italy.

We need to set up a 3PL partnership, including all processes & SOPs and consistently challenge and innovate to improvise the existing ones.

Provide out of the box solutions for to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.

Your task will include but are not limited to:

Primarily responsible for whole logistic planning & implementation in Italy
Identification of new networks needed, Capacity utilization study, Network optimization & contingency planning, Surface linehaul synergy & vehicle optimization
Responsible for coordinating with crossfunctional teams and vendors to deliver multiple projects.
Design, develop, pilot & rollout enterprisewide programs around performance improvement, cycle time improvement for returns, delivery experience, MFN pickup.
Ensure new processes are communicated to relevant stakeholders and implemented in a timely manner and are standardized across locations. Perform continuous process evaluation to ensure sustainment

Qualifications:

Extensive experience of operating at a senior Logistics level with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a multisite, high volume, environment
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in SCM, transportation, economics, business administration, project management, or a similar field
10+ years of experience in an industryrelated field
Fluency in spoken and written Italian and English (German is a plus)
Experience managing and developing a team and ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels including shop floor employees
You will have strong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables.
Experience in analysing metrics and datadriven decisionmaking
Proven ability to design and execute a supply chain strategy
