We are seeking a friendly, professional and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Hostel Receptionist.

As a Hostel Receptionist, you will be the face of our hostel and the first point of contact for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Checkin and checkout guests, ensuring accuracy of information and room assignments
• Assist guests with information about the hostel, local area and tourist attractions
• Manage reservations and cancellations, ensuring accurate records are kept
• Handle cash and credit card payments, and perform endofday cash reconciliations
• Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, and ensure supplies are stocked
• Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure that all guest rooms are clean and ready for occupancy
• Handle guest complaints and escalate any issues to the relevant departments
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the hostel

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a receptionist or customer service representative, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of reservation and front office systems
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Fluency in Italian,English and proficiency in other languages is an advantage
