Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
  • Create an efficient and operative plan of available resources (staff, machines, materials, methods) to ensure the achievement of the production, maintenance and storage targets in terms of volumes, quality, costs and delivery times.
  • Manage the production program according to the sales forecasts, ensuring the correct timetables of the orders' progress and analysing potential gaps in order to implement corrective actions.
  • Develop production procedures to meet current and longrange business and quality demands working within budgetary constraints while minimizing costs to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Promote and ensure a working culture where the workers respect and follow all activities and procedures regarding safety, health, environment and quality according to company and federal law standards.
  • Provide coaching to unit teams to demonstrate continuous improvement in profitability margins, efficiencies and cost savings initiatives.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve technical matters related to specific product requirements and deliveries.
  • Manage workforce plans to identify skills shortage, assess training needs and create manpower plans ensuring that all required resources are in place to fulfil staffing requirements.

Prepare and maintain regular and ad hoc reports in order to provide production related insight to business and facilitate the decision-making process.


Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the battery industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational management, including production planning, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Strong decisionmaking skills and a resultsdriven approach
  • Fluency in English & Italian (verbal & written) is a must
