The Cost Controller will be responsible for analysing and controlling the remediation business line, ensuring that processes are optimised and profits maximised


The main responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and monitoring the project, with a strict follow up of the costs and the revenues of the projects / business line
  • Identifying, anticipating and reporting any variances with the planned budgets and long term plans
  • Support the project team to build the budgets and financial plans
  • Work with the internal team to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the company's financial performance, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in setting project sales prices, taking into account all kinds of project costs and market needs.
  • Maintain constant communication with company management, providing support in making strategic decisions
  • Support closely the project management team in all decisions having an impact on the financials
  • Support the contract management team for management of any claim related to the project
  • Manage the relationship with the financial department of the client and the partner
  • Support and guidelines to the accounting department for maintaining a fair bookkeeping
  • Support the tender team of the department remediation in the financial evaluation of new potential projects

Requirements and competences:


  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a (Project) Cost Controller or in a similar role.
  • Experience in a financial role in a Project Based organisation is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting is a big plus
  • Knowledge of the main financial analysis and cost management control tools and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong result and profit maximization orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong reporting skills (including MS Excel).
  • Flexible and able to deal with unforeseen situations due to the project(s).
  • Able to deal with fluctuating levels of workload
  • Good knowledge of Italian and English.
