Purpose of the job
Tooling Technician is in charge to ensure its manufacturing and its implementation in production:

  • Act in respect of standards, AT rules and business targets (EHS, Ergonomics, QCD).
  • Perform tooling costing.
  • Budget Management of project linked with tools.
  • RDA Management.
  • Reporting.
  • Repair & Management of Special, Standard and Calibrated Tools.
  • Management of Periodic Calibration.

Responsibilities

In case of tender:

Evaluate the total cost of the tooling, broken down in the following categories: Maintenance, Weekly Reporting, Budget Management


During product project industrialization:
activity


  • Analyze the tooling requested and propose the adequate solution.
  • Write periodic inspection.
  • Management of Vendor Machines, supply tools, management of machine related anomalies,. replacement of tools reported failures and reinstall of lost tools.
  • Management of Periodic Calibrations,preparation of the tools to be sent in Calibration, reinstall Calibration.
  • Tools made available to PROD.
  • Update of the database "Calibration Tools" and storage of Calibration Certificates.
  • Repair Management Special Tools, Std and Calibrated.
  • Management of the Maintenance Plan linked with Facility.
  • Updating of the database and drafting of the Reports for the Management Tools.
  • Participates to Alstom Tooling network.
  • Contribute to enrich the AT database of standard tooling specifications.
  • Participate to continuous improvement actions (SWIP) in support to Operation.
  • Compilation and management of Purchase Requests (PR), linked of repair for Tools
  • Consumables/inventory management.
  • Allocations Tools Management.
  • 5S Storage areas Tools and weekly check the status of the various areas.

Educational Requirements

  • Technical education
  • Mechanics
  • English read, written, spoken.

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing or Plant Maintenance background with 3 years' experience preferably in the railway industry or industrial activity
  • Good practice of SAP & CAD system
  • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
