Your 'day to day':


As Tax Sticker Executive, you will be part of our Factory Services Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.

A. and will be reporting to the Internal Logistics Operations Lead. The position is based in the plant of Crespellano, Bologna.


A key responsibility will be to ensure control of tax stickers (including digital tax sticker - DTS) movements, safe storage, inventories, ordering, reconciliation, returns to market and destructions in compliance with local regulations, SOX and other PMI policies and procedures.

In your role, you will be the single point of contact for markets related to tax stickers (from ordering to returning).


Specific responsibilities will be to:

ORDERS AND RECEPTION

  • Ensure tax stickers orders from the markets, according to the production planning information provided by Supply Chain planning
  • Ensure intime information for reception of tax stickers and compliance with legal requirements
  • Check storage conditions and monitor inventory accuracy by performing adhoc verifications
  • Ensure TS cutting process according with the markets request.

RECONCILIATIONS AND RETURNS

  • Ensure timely TS inventory in line with PMI policies and local legislation
  • Check the issued forms provided to Production and monitors not only the collection of damaged and recovered stamps but also unnecessary stamp losses
  • Prepare necessary documents and arrange the return postage to all markets, in accordance with the requirements of the markets where cigarettes are delivered
  • Engage required departments to investigate discrepancies and ensure proper action plan
  • Prepare documentation package for authorities as per legal requirements
  • Manage tax stickers complains from/to the markets

CONFISCATED CIGARETTES

  • Record notification of confiscated cigarettes/ tobacco received from the State authorities and approved by Tax Department
  • Place and confirm transport orders for confiscated cigarettes as per PMI procedure
  • Archive the reception notes for confiscated cigarettes as per PMI procedure
  • Update the transport orders report of confiscated cigarettes
  • Organize and manage the destruction of excisable products and confiscated cigarettes/ tobacco by customs authorities

TAX STICKER DESTRUCTION

  • Organize together with local authorities and Tax Department the destruction of the stamps that are damaged or nonconform according with the legislation and PM procedures.
  • Ensure that all documents created during the process of destruction are accurate and that all necessary transactions are operated in SAP as for closing the destruction process as per PMI and legal requirements.
  • Represent the site in front of Customs authority

REPORTING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Maintain proactive and continuous relationship with other related departments, in order to make all tax sticker management activities compliant with local/International legislation, TAX regulations and company procedures
  • Ensures good communication flow with local authorities' representatives
  • Ensures good communication flow with other departments of the factory and market representatives to have stamps in accordance with production requirements
  • Prepare key performance indicators for the logistics service provider and propose solutions to improve
  • Identify and lead cost elimination initiatives linked to tax sticker endtoend flow
  • Drive reduction of tax sticker losses
SUSTAINABILITY / COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure that LSP and own department employees comply with and adhere to local safety measures, fire regulations, hygienic and propertysecurity regulations, policies and procedures in order to increase and maintain health and safety awareness, establish healthy and safe environment for the employees and service provider(s) and prevent damage and loss of the company assets. Perform on a regular basis housekeeping and safety audits to validate storage conditions, sanitation and product integrity according to PMI warehousing guidelines.
