Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of the Portofino.

For the next season, we are looking for a Chef de Rang to join the team at DaV Mare, Belmond's unique collaboration with the Cerea family.

This harbourside restaurant offers big Ligurian flavours, gastronomic excellence and outstanding service from breakfast through to dinner.
He/she reports to the Maitre.

Main duties & responsibilities

Our Chef the Rang will:

Fulfil the operations of Bar
Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience. Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests' needs
Establish and maintain good relationships with all Guests and handle requests and enquiries
Coordinate and monitor Commis de Rang assigned to him/her
Contribute to the achievement of the economic targets

Requirements:

Effective communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability
Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player
Drive results: provide genuine and consistent high levels of service by anticipating and exceeding expectations of guests and colleagues
Global perspective: treat each other with respect and inclusiveness regardless of position, level or background

Other requirements:

Fluent in English and Italian; a third language preferred
Previous professional experience within the same role in a luxury environment
Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally
