  • SUMMARY:
  • The Project Manager is responsible for planning and implementing large / complex projects from sales order acknowledgement through final customer acceptance and is the point of contact for customers. Provides project updates to both internal and external customers to manage expectations and validate timelines from order acceptance through final acceptance in the field.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with the project team and customer to define project scope, goals, risks, and deliverables
  • Define roles, required tasks, and resources, and work with leaders to allocate resources
  • Coordinate and lead the risk burndown kickoff and facilitate followup meetings
  • Manage the project team and run MCR project meetings
  • Track, analyze, and regularly report on the project budget
  • Work with scheduling to create the project schedule and communicate status to project team
  • Prepare, schedule, and lead Integrated Planning Sessions (IPS) and follow through on the IPS throughout the life of the project including but not limited to team requirements, third party services, parts, onsite communication plans, safety, service kickoff, SAT's, customer wrapup meetings, and open issues communication plans
  • Track and ensure completion of deliverables
  • Regularly communicate progress, problems, and viable solutions to customers
  • Oversee timely invoicing per contract terms
  • Oversee post shipment startup and Site Acceptance Test to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and acknowledged
  • Train, coach, and mentor other Project Managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an associate degree and three years OEM experience
  • 35 years of project management experience
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of accepted best practice project management techniques and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from initial execution through delivery
  • Proficient in project management software tools such as MS Project and SmartSheet
  • Proficient in Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Skype, and Teams
  • Formal project management training or certification is required
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
