    Job Summary:

    The Assistant Production Supervisor will oversee production processes and assist the supervisor in establishing production priorities for products, considering effective operations and cost factors.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborate with management to set production and quality control standards, ensuring data accuracy on product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
    2. Assist in coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams to optimize resource utilization and efficiency.
    3. Review production reports to identify nonconformities and operating problems, working with production supervisors to resolve issues.
    4. Minimize scrap and materials usage by implementing efficient operating methods and procedures.
    5. Monitor production metrics, complete monthly 'report cards,' and seek continuous improvement in lowering line and plant defects per million (DPM).
    6. Ensure line employees understand policies and procedures, and maintain proper stock levels of operation supplies and equipment.
    7. Contribute to resolving repetitive issues through the SPC system, compiling and retrieving production data as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Knowledge Requirements:

    1. Strong understanding of global logistics operations and industry trends.
    2. Proficiency in determining logistics requirements to achieve business objectives, devising strategies to meet targets.
    3. Excellent financial and analytical skills, able to manage business analytics to optimize company performance.
    4. Familiarity with international direct and indirect taxes, as well as global customs regimes.
    5. Proven track record of successful change management, implementing productivity and cost reduction programs.
    6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    7. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, email, and personal computer applications.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
    2. At least 2 years of experience.
    3. Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
