    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for establishing and promoting the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace. This role recommends measures to reduce and/or eliminate accidents and illnesses while complying with all federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Investigate accidents; triage injuries; work with clinics/doctors and prepare reports for insurance carrier; maintain records related to safety and injuries.
  • Consult internally with all departments concerning employee assignments and absence related to injury and/or illness; consult with physicians and department leadership regarding availability of restricted job assignments.
  • Perform monthly and/or quarterly inspections for safety concerns and facility compliance; ensure maintenance of building access controls.
  • Creates, delivers, deploys, and coordinates safety training initiatives.
  • Recommend measures to reduce/eliminate accidents and illnesses. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees with questions about safety, PPE, and/or disability.
  • Develops and implements site safety programs; enforces corporate safety programs. Partner with environmental vendors to complete annual compliance documentation.
  • Administer company program for personal protective equipment. May lead, coach or mentor less experienced team members.
  • Participate in L3 and other initiatives; promote and maintain good employee relations.
  • Act as liaison between employees, identify and solve employee problems and advocate a strong employee contact with an open door policy.

  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school Diploma
  • Four – six years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Senior level professional with in-depth knowledge of own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Works independently with minimal guidance; solves complex problems; may lead projects or steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing projects and objectives; act as a resource for less experienced team members. May represent the career level of the role.B2 English Level
