For an Italian hotel chain we are looking for a:

Chief Engineer We are hiring a Hotel Head of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance of the Hotel's infrastructure (e.g., buildings, electricity, hydraulic, equipment) and to be responsible for managing the hotels teams of maintenance personnel.

Direct the maintenance team in the daily engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel, maintaining the high standards of service, coordinate with managers of other departments to establish and prioritize maintenance activities for guest rooms and public areas; Ensure that guest and employee health and safety procedures are applied, and that emergency programs are adhered to; Verify and monitor that the conditions of the plants and machinery inside the structures are suitable, intervening in case of dangerous situations and promptly communicating with the Director and the Area Engineer; Take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality and productivity.

Ensure the smooth daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel. Direct the maintenance staff on small repairs, such as patching drywall, fixing faulty wiring, or unclogging drains. Assign staff to repair sprinklers or instruct grounds crew to maintain outside landscaping. Manage maintenance workers and participate in hiring, training and mentoring staff. Evaluate a staff member's cumulative performance, noting areas for improvement.

Inspect hotelgrounds and equipment to ensure adherence to all safety standards; Develop routine and preventative maintenance strategies to ensure that the entire facility is kept operational; Respond to complaints and dispatch necessary personnel; Organize repair and renovation projects, respecting the budget and oversee each project to completion; Act swiftly to resolve emergencies as they arise; Identify ways to conserve energy and reduce facility operating costs; Supervise technicians, write schedules and offer feedback; Develop and nurture relationships with service providers, contractors and distributers; Maintain budget, expenses and activity logs.

Requirements:

Specific high school diploma (bachelor's degree in facility management is a plus); Proven experience as a hotel maintenance supervisor or maintenance manager of a large facility; Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations; Familiarity with the inner workings of a Hotel (e.g.

plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems); Experience in administrative process (e.g.

budgeting, performance management); Ability to identify safety risks and develop a plan of action quickly; Problem solving aptitude, particularly under pressure; Excellent leadership and organization; Detail oriented; Ability to work long hours on your feet; Fluent Italian and English Location:
