We are currently staffing a permanent Fermentation Engineering Manager role for a disruptive and well-funded Greentech startup in Copenhagen.

In this role, you will push the limits of gas fermentation.

You get to work with a group of passionate scientists from MIT and Stanford, who are super motivated to scale up their innovative technology and become the first chemical manufacturer that is truly carbon negative based on their revolutionizing gas fermentation technology.

With your team of fermentation experts, you will drive the upscaling and optimization of the CO2-to-chemical process. Your work will be pivotal in making this fermentation process the go-to technology for green chemical manufacturing.

The company is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. They will cover your relocation costs to Copenhagen if necessary.

| ABOUT THE ROLE

You will experiment with and scale-up fermentation processes from lab-scale to industrial-scale bioreactors.

Therefore you should have experience with microbial cultivation and a scientific background with either a PhD degree with 2+ years of industry experience or an MSc with 4+ years of work experience in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field.

It would be nice if you would have additional experience with either bulk production of chemicals or gas fermentation, or cultivation of non-standard microorganisms.
