DHL eCommerce is one of the divisions of DHL, dedicated to both domestic and international parcel delivery, through our cutting-edge cross-border products.

We are looking for a Chief Technology and Operations Officer in Italy to steer and manage software and hardware requirements of an established Joint Venture by DHL eCommerce and Poste Italiane in order to create a modern and sustainable network of automatic parcel lockers with user-friendly interfaces at key locations across Italy for use by PI, DHL and possible sale to third parties.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Steer and manage the software and hardware requirements in the Joint Venture for the Italian market
  • Responsible for all locker operation processes
  • Assure efficient locker installations
  • Management of the installation
- and maintenance-provider

  • Budget responsibility for software, hardware, and installation/providermanagement
  • Manage the whole CTOO-Team
  • Responsible for all safety and security topics in the Joint Venture

Key Tasks (technically)

  • Definition of HW requirements in terms of asset requirements and IT network architecture
  • Definition of SW requirements, definition of functional solution and management of IT development providers
  • Analysis of business IT needs
  • IT budget management HW and SW
  • Support in the drafting of technical and functional requirements
  • Purchase of HW and SW IT services
  • PMO activities for the development of technological solutions
  • Management of departmental systems needs (PCs, printers, etc.)
  • Monitoring of the functioning of central information systems and TLC networks
  • Technical interface with central and delivery systems of the various couriers connected to the locker network
  • Cybersecurity SLA Monitoring
  • Expected SLA monitoring of corporate business IT systems

Key Tasks (operationally)

  • Preparation and implementation of new installations (e.g masonry, electrical works, management of installation teams)
  • Management and maintenance of the locker network throughout its life cycle
  • Service delivery management
  • Management of purchase and supply contracts
  • Ordinary/extraordinary and emergency maintenance management
  • Management of locker warehouses and spare parts, installations/maintenance, regeneration, divestment/locker closure
  • Definition of processes and operating procedures of competence
  • Oversight of the asset procurement process (including spare parts?) and installation services (including masonry and electrical works), maintenance and warehouse, general operation
  • Suppliers selection and management (assets, warehouse, transport and maintenance) management of negotiations and / or purchasing processes and tenders
  • Formalization of purchase contracts and related operational management
  • Definition of processes and operating procedures of competence
  • Preparation of technical specifications contract / tender for purchase and supply

  • Deep understanding of lockerprocesses and management
  • Great knowledge in generallogistic processes
  • Experience in IT-ProjectManagement and requirements engineering
  • Experience in maintaining and operating a complex ITenvironment
  • Independent, structured and goaloriented working style
  • Very good MS Office skills, Power Point and Excel
  • University Bachelor / Master degree and/or several years of professional experience in IT and Operations
  • Very good Italian and English language skills
