The Global Partner Solutions team mission is to:
build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more. GPS is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft.

The Partner Development Manager is responsible for the 360 degree business relationship by partner type, service and support Microsofts three cloud solutions.

The PDM is the pivotal role in the relationships Microsoft builds with partner companies.

You will be responsible for engaging at the very highest level of executives building trust by sharing insights about how companies can capitalize on market opportunities by partnering with Microsoft.

Microsoft Business Leader
Lead the creation of a long-range strategic vision rooted to the partners impact

Demonstrate a deeper and expert understanding of the partners business and how it can be integrated into the Microsoft landscape and convey the value of partnering with Microsoft based on the business opportunity and possible competition.

Sell account vision to senior business decision makers at highly sought-after partners by aligning and reinforcing overall Microsoft value proposition and value propositions of products, channels, or solutions to the partner's business goals.

Identify and recommend market opportunities to pursue based on understanding of industry gaps and emerging trends in solution/product areas. Collaborate with internal teams to take advantage of opportunities that are aligned with competitive intelligence and Microsoft's goals.

Build, maintain, and own a trusted-advisor relationship with C-suite leaders of complex partners to achieve strategic alignment and drive growth.

Understand and align partners priorities, strategies, and goals with Microsofts to build mutually beneficial account plans.
Partner Transformation
Lead business-design briefings advising partner leadership on building a high-impact Microsoft Services practice.

Develop and execute strategic partner business plans for all managed partners that growpartner business and promote cloud consumption and digital transformation.

Develop plans that fully consider short
- and long-term goals and performance expectations that are aligned with partners needs and capabilities.
Leads the integration of skills, capability, and capacity plans for the partner business.
Influence partner to create a learning culture.

Strategically builds solutions for partners that utilizes the right mix of sales and tech trainings and bootcamps to increase the partners' capabilities.

Partner Sales and Consumption
Coach and challenge partners to transform their plans and strategies around consumption and key targets.
Leads review of Partners pipeline, top deals, and consumption targets.

Shape the thinking of partners on top deals and ensure close alignment between the partners sales team, channel managers, and other relevant teams.

Works with partners sales leaders on how to overcome obstacles, compete, create deal proposals, etc.
Lead campaigns with various functional areas and the partners marketing teams.

Design and creates new offer and incentive structures to the partners and provides perspective when others are drafting Go-to-Market (GTM) packages.

Team Mobilizer

Develop go-to-market and co-selling strategies with complex partners that outline activities and expectations to drive Microsoft and partner sales goals.

Prioritize and allocate go-to-market resources across accounts.

Help partners understand what a consumption-led business is and how it operates, coach partners around consumption economics leverages reports, analyses, etc.)


Ensures partner readiness by developing marketing plans to promote customer sales campaigns, incentives, and promotions). Secures marketing resources go-to-market offers) to support partners with developing marketing plans.
Specialty Responsibilities

Develop partner recruitment plans to recruit new partners or expand current partnerships to create a balanced portfolio, grow business, and fill market opportunities.

Influence partners and business leaders to upsell Microsoft products and services.
Understand the ecosystem and the various disrupters, influencers, etc., and how best to bring in potential big wins.


Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND solid years of experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND significant years of partner management, sales, developer, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
