Job Summary
The Senior Protection Assistant provides quality protection support to persons of concern (PoC) in line with international standards.The incumbent monitors protection standards in protection delivery in line with international standards and provides functional protection support to information management and programme staff.
The role involves providing counselling on protection issues to PoC; liaising with competent authorities; conducting preliminary information gathering interviews; contributing to measures to identify prevent reduce statelessness child protection plans education plans;
monitoring standard operating procedures participating individual case management assisting identifying durable solutions drafting reports routine correspondence update relevant databases compiling statistics within AoR contribute initiatives enhance national local capacities select PoC preliminary interviews decide relevant information share enforce integrity decision making risk based work ensure reporting timely accurate contribution monitoring efforts engage missions locations border procedures implemented throughout nation territory.
