BACKGROUND


Our Client is a global company and international leader among the world of road transport for light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles.


IVECO Group has identified carbon-neutral transition as a strategic priority. For this purpose, it has decided to extend the initiative related to vehicle electrification to meet the ambitious goal of reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2040.

E/E vehicle architectures roadmap definition, by understanding market needs, new technologies and legislation evolution

He/she will collect and analyze the high level request coming from internal stakeholders (Product management, Legal,..) and translate to electronics system requirement.


DIMENSIONS:


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage the transition of vehicular E/E architectures, from distributed solutions toward domain, crossdomain and centralized architectures with zone ECUs and vehicle controllers, to manage vehicle fusion and integrate Cloud computing solutions
  • Define the Roadmap for the future E/E vehicle architectures for all ranges, with focus on market and technology trends, regulatory evolutions, cost impacts and stakeholders' needs
  • Interface with Suppliers by conducting scouting activities and formal RFI/RFQ evaluations, to investigate about their roadmaps, evaluate their technology readiness, obtain preliminary cost and R&D estimates and support the selection of new solutions and partners
  • Design electronic architecture and vehicle functionalities in line with internal development process
  • Create and maintain detailed system requirements and technical solutions that meet the request from internal and external stakeholders (Regulations, Platform, Brand etc.)
  • Work to reach proactively the target, respecting international standard requirements, project time and budget
  • Incorporate the engineering safety, security and quality standards, methodologies and global product development processes into all aspects of project development
  • Provide support to Quality department for problem solving of onfield reported claims (Quality Control)
  • Propose innovations, create invention disclosures, develop new design concepts and IP which will advance IVECO product/systems
  • Work cohesively, collaborating with the teams to maximize quality, enhance performance and delivery on schedule

Requirements:


  • MS/BS Degree in
    Engineering with emphasis in Electronic, Telecommunications, Automation, Mechatronics and Information Technology disciplines (with preference for Automotive Engineering)
- "Bird view" analytical skills, not limited to specific components but extended to the overall E/E architecture and vehicle behaviors

  • Experience in requirement writing, managements and Requirement Management tools (e.g. Polarion, Doors)
  • Proven skill on main automotive networks and protocols (e.g. LIN, CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet,...), in their related standards (e.g. ISO 11898, SAE J1939, UDS) and tools (e.g. Vector Canoe/Canalyzer)
  • Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic Vehicle Architectures and their main electronics domains. Knowledge and experience about electric vehicles (BEV, FCEV, Hybrid...) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety methodologies and standards (e.g. ISO26262)
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity methodologies and standards
  • Knowledge of technology trends and innovative solutions in automotive field (e.g. FlexRay, V2V/V2X communication, Cloud computing)

At least 3/4 years of experience in Automotive E/E system engineering. Experience in Commercial Vehicles E/E development is considered a plus

  • Communication skills to cooperate with technical/management partners inside the company and of other agencies/companies, with reference to external customers and experience working in multilocation teams
  • Aptitude for teamworking and team coordination; leadership and strong commitment to meet the goals
  • Proactive and disruptive mindset
  • Language
    :English advanced level and Italian (German is considered a plus)
  • Availability to international business trips for midterm periods
