Education required: Master's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bio-Engineer or equivalent.


Other requirements:


Basic requirements:

  • Knowledge of ELISA method, as well as interest in vaccine development and immunology constitutes a plus.
  • Good Computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and design of experiments is beneficial.
  • Fluent in Italian and English

Project description

Competencies the intern will develop thanks to the internship experience:

  • Anti-antigen specific ELISA / Luminex development using novel High-Throughput systems methodology
  • Assays development to evaluate the quantity and the functionality of vaccine induced antibodies
  • Nontechnical: ability to follow working instructions and procedures; to work with the team to ensure the maintenance of equipment and reagents in compliance with GSK and EHS requirements; development of problemsolving and timemanagement skills.
