Logistic Specialist Inbound


Job Description:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring a timely and low cost Inbound flow as well as inventory accuracy. The position will also act as back-up of other functions in the Logistics Department. The position works with the Warehouse team, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Planning and freight carriers.

The main objectives are to ensure safety, on-time receipt of raw materials and feedstock, ongoing logistics cost reductions and 99.5% inventory accuracy (on sku level).


Description:

  • Arrange the logistics of incoming goods between suppliers (US, Europe and Asia sources) and Poliblend. Calloff containers for bulk from the 3rd Party Logistics Provider organize the logistics from port to plant for packed.
  • Communicate with Procurement and for internal supply with the designated planner
  • Confirm receipt and availability
  • Review daily scanning results (consumption, finished goods) and inventory discrepancies and lead the resolution with the Production and warehousing team
  • Communicate proactively to suppliers and internal customers
  • Approve invoices for inbound related logistics incl. validation of demurrage and transloading costs
  • Provide relevant data and feedback for KPI analysis
  • Partner with planning department, Procurement and supply sites
  • Implement specific improvement projects with the Regional Logistics team
  • Onsite training support as needed before and after the implementation of SAP

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level of education in Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent
  • IT skills: SAP, Outlook, Excel
  • Must fluently speak and write in English.
