WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Implement people planning strategy at the unit level, following principles/guidelines as localised by the Global Matrix Team and country People Planning function.
  • Ensuring adherence to IKEA employment standards, legal, and union requirements related to People Planning in Store.
  • Contribute to the unit's complete people planning process from forecasting to the execution of the schedule by posting draft schedules timely, ensuring scheduled hours include planned absences and liaising on the development of final schedules with department managers in order to respond to coworkers, customers and business needs.
  • Identify possible improvements in the people planning process and escalate any potential deviation to the Unit P&C Manager when the scheduled or actual hours exceed the agreed financial framework.
  • Ensure that the unit's people planning process supports developing our talents and enables them to deliver an excellent and personal customer meeting.
  • Collaborate with recruiting manager and Unit P&C Generalist to ensure vacancies are filled with the right contract type, to secure the right preconditions for the coworker to create a great customer meeting.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships with stakeholders of different seniority levels within the store.
  • Good knowledge of the people planning process/principles and how it is executed in the unit
  • Good knowledge of Excel and the ability to manage and analyze data by generating reports.
  • The aptitude to renew, improve, and embrace the change exploiting new business and growth opportunities.
  • The ability to work independently, taking your own initiatives and responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in Italian and English.
  • Basic knowledge of how to implement plans, according to set budgets, business plan priorities and goals
  • Basic knowledge of unit business drivers and tasks and how they align to meeting and improving the customer experience
  • Basic knowledge about the rights and obligations of workers and employers
  • Basic knowledge of scheduling and time keeping software used in the unit.
  • Basic knowledge of legal people planning requirements, IKEA employment standards and adherence.
