Director, Site Technical Business Management


This is an exciting opportunity for a Director, Business Management to join a fast-growing team Lead business relationships with existing commercial clients in order to provide a spectacular customer experience.

Serve as the liaison between Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) and Commercial site management for the introduction of new products from the Development pipeline and directly support clients on new Technical Transfer projects The scope of the position covers 5 major areas:


1. Client Relationship Management

  • Leads Site Business Management Team and ensure team members serve as Leaders in site business activities representing the client interests, while improving the sites financial position.
  • Leads large new business and business expansion opportunities and coaches Business Managers to ensure effective management of such opportunities.
  • Identifies and prioritizes opportunities and drive teamwork across functions to support clients and achieve desired results.
  • Leads all clients' business relationship to ensure all issues are promptly handled and all communications are timely and accurate.
  • Ensures plan executions are done in full respect of agreements and in compliance with Master Supply Agreement (MSA).
  • Share reports with top management and central corporate functions on matters that could impact performances and problems, with solutions and action plans in place.
  • Leads initiatives for talent, growth, client experience, and Technology Transfer.
  • Participates and advises on sitebased initiatives for clients, strategic deals, and technology selection.

2. Quotations and Supply Agreements

  • Develops and finalize MSA with clients; reviews new business proposals to ensure alignment with financial commitments.
  • Ensures the accurate assessment of the overall cost of a new or existing project (cost of production, capital requirements).
  • Ensures that all MSA requirements are timely executed, including pricing, payment terms, renewals, yield reconciliations, etc.
  • Focuses on strategic issues, including large MSAs and/or large potential deals.

3. Project Management

  • Leads the identification of new initiatives with tools within Operational Excellence.
  • Ensures accurate execution of all projects between the sites and clients.
  • Proposes solutions to resolve Technical Transfer (TT) critical activities in partnership with other site functions to respect the timelines and technical activities.
  • Develops and authorizes new processes.
  • Works with the site General Manager and leadership team to handle the business in accordance with the Patheon values, policies and agreements with clients.

4. Financial and Forecast Management

  • Knows financial obligations within the Master Service Agreement (MSA) and work with Finance to assure compliance.
  • Participates in the sites Business Plan and contribute to validate ongoing forecasts.

5. Talent and Team Management

  • Engages, coaches, enables outstanding performance within the Business Management Leadership Team. Identifies, attracts, motivates and retains superior talent.
  • Builds meaningful development opportunities and provides mentorship.
  • Generates and executes development plans for Business Management leaders and extended team.

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Master's degree in Science and/or Business required, MBA desirable.

Skills / proficiencies:

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing and outsourcing including Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Proven record in leading services oriented technical portfolios and providing outstanding customer support
  • Extensive Customer Relationship Management experience
  • Inspirational and forwardthinking leadership, decisionmaking and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven success as a change agent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to encourage and empower
  • Ability to work with internal and external senior level executives

Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years' related experience in the Pharmaceutical/CDMO Industry
