Posizione:


Component Manager (BTV) in Chassis area:
We are looking for a Component Manager who will be responsible for Component Development within the assigned perimeter (Wheels, Suspensions, Steering systems, Vertical Dynamics), with the task to steer the projects from technical point of view, according to defined target of design, weight, performances, and Quality, She/He will be also responsible for:

  • Support the Proto Procurement during the selection of suppliers/partners (forward sourcing) with technical specs (LAH) and technical details;
  • Ensure lesson learned and robustness of engineering concepts within the entire perimeter in his/her responsibility;
  • Support to coordinator in Budget bottomup definition, and support to SET Leader for budget tracking and for solution definitions according to Budget availability;
  • Responsibility to report and escalate to coordinator of the unit in case of need;
  • Participate to regular meeting for updates with VW group companies;
  • Analyse and find solutions for the issues that can come from the field in accordance with other company departments;
  • Supporting the assembly plant in defining the assembly procedures and parameters;
  • Managing components / systems with high homologation relevance: particularly strong dependency on the legislation (R79) including selfcertification market (FMVSS, CMVSS, KMVSS) and influences exhaust gas, consumption, and particulate emissions.

Requisiti:


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Automotive sector or in relevant educational background;
  • Ability to Develop and design techniques and processes;
  • Good knowledge of CATIA V5;
  • Ability to organize/motivate a teamwork depending on needs and contingent situations;
  • Problem solving, ability to synthesize information, priority management, proactivity, flexibility, resilience;
  • Intermediation capacity between his/her own team and the other teams involved;
  • Ability to manage component and system suppliers, as well as development suppliers;
  • Decision making skills combined with an assertive and persuasive leadership style;
  • Multitasking ability respecting the quality standards and required timelines;
  • Ability to anticipate, manage critical situations and provide effective solutions;
  • Negotiation skill;
  • Technical drawing and modeling constraints.

Language skills:
English
is mandatory, Italian is a plus.
