Commercial Project Manager


Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.

Position Summary


Support local commercial and medical activities, as an integral part of Amicus' goal in bringing innovative medicines to patients with rare diseases.


Support the Commercial and Medical Directors to effectively execute the Business plan working in compliance with all Amicus policies and procedures as well as local regulatory and legal requirements.


Roles and Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for (commercial role):

  • Be a key player in the definition, implementation and execution of the country's Business Plan
  • Pull through materials which are produced by Global marketing to support the brand in the field, working with local regulatory and medical functions, as well as external advertising agency.
  • Develop, coordinate and prepare and execute Amicus owned commercial events as well as manage external congresses
  • Collaborate closely with Global Marketing and International Commercial Operations on providing input for the local market on brand meetings and Veeva projects etc.
  • Interact with Regulatory Affairs consultant to facilitate the approval process
  • Ensure market observation and Competitive Intelligence (incl. input from KAMs)
  • Prepare and execute product related Market Researches (Messaging, Galafold Perception, Company branding)
  • Support all activities of improving sales force effectiveness (Analytics, Reports, Training)
  • Support preparation of internal business reviews

This role is responsible for (non-commercial role):

  • Work with the Medical Department to focus on providing support for the new external stakeholders (Homecare providers & Associations / Patient finding & Disease Awareness).
  • Collaborate closely with Medical regarding translations of messaging, development of materials, for activities at national, congresses & symposia, etc.
  • Back office coordination to special projects such as the Patient Support projects and Support to Diagnosis

Requirements:

Professional Work Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing roles within biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and a record of significant accomplishment.
  • Ideally sales plus marketing experience are required to be able to understand rules and regulations for commercial activities.
  • Substantial experience in:
  • Launching products
  • Sales force support
  • Cooperation with global marketing
  • Project Management
  • SFE and analyzing markets
  • Rolling out projects with key stake holders (physicians and other external parties)
  • Knowledge of commercial organizations, including related operating processes, policies, procedures and regulations
  • Embrace the Amicus core values as a patientcentric global biotechnology company
Experience and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in local language as well as highly proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Proven planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven results in sales and experience of marketing
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills
  • Indepth Knowledge of Italian pharmaceutical regulations as well as other industry rules and guidelines along with medical and clinical terminology
  • Business acumen; has working knowledge of a multidisciplinary / crossfunctional scenario
  • Proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Engaged integral teamplayer, thrives in a team environment
  • Energetic, selfmotivated with a handson mentality, and results orientated.
  • Proven selfstarter that is independently solution focused when presented with challenges
  • Ability to manage a demanding schedule, and adapt and be flexible as needed with evolving priorities in a dynamic, expanding environment
