We are looking for a passionate and analytical Junior Category Marketing to join our Marketing team in Florence.
This role will support the Senior Category Marketing Specialist in driving growth, profitability and brand positioning across Electrical and Non-Electrical product categories.
The Junior Category Marketing will contribute to market analysis, product launches, promotional planning and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with ghd's premium brand positioning and broader marketing strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated marketing professional with 1–2 years of experience who is eager to grow within a fast-paced, premium beauty environment.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market & Performance Analysis
Support the analysis of category performance at local level (value and volume trends, sell-in/sell-out data, KPIs).
Assist in monitoring competitor activity (product launches, pricing, promotions, communication, merchandising).
Contribute to pricing analysis and preparation of pricing proposals.
Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards (Excel & PowerPoint).
Collect and analyse feedback from clients and internal teams on launches and campaigns.
Support the evaluation of new product concepts, attributes, claims and positioning.
Communication and Go to Market:
Develop local assets supporting launches for all channels
Work alongside the commercial department to assist in developing local promotional marketing plans, giving input and suggestions on how they fit with the local strategies and assets
Digital & Consumer Focus
Monitor digital trends and social media activity within the beauty and hair styling category.
Support analysis of digital performance related to product launches and campaigns.
Ensure product storytelling and positioning are consistent across digital touchpoints.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Marketing, Economics or related field.
1–2 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Category Management or Trade Marketing (preferably in beauty, fashion or premium brands).
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.Good understanding of pricing strategies and retail dynamics.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
High level of English (written and spoken).
