ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises a group of technical Engineers/Specialists and provides guidance for technical and professional development.
Ensures the site maintains short/long-term reliability focus and monitors applicable KPIs.

Collaborates with all departments to improve engineering design/deliverables, operational care, and maintenance practicesCommunicates risk and establishes maintenance priorities with the Refinery Leadership Team and the Area Operating Teams.

Communicates the status of reliability initiatives to the Refinery Leadership Team and the Area Operating Teams.
Leads Mechanical Integrity Program adherence and continuous improvement.
Evaluates new technologies and their suitability to improving the reliability within the refinery.
Monitors the sites threat lists to mechanical availability and prioritizes initiatives based on the Total Cost of Unreliability list.

Promotes the consistent use of Reliability Analytics tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), Equipment Growth Analysis, and Asset Health Indicators.

Ensures that appropriate turnaround work scope is identified for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Rotating Equipment.
Ensures that the Reliability Group is active in allAdvisory Group activities.
Supports Corporate Initiatives to improve the overall reliability of the Company.

Actively engages in resolving targeted critical reliability issues to include failure analysis, equipment reliability plans and implementing recommendations in the fieldParticipates in equipment failure investigations and RCFAs.

Interfaces with the Maintenance Cost Control Group for budgeting of Reliability Initiatives.
Ensures data integrity is maintained throughout the work order and LOE processes to feed into the Reliability Analytics tools.
Minimum Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of Maintenance/Engineering experience with relevant Reliability background in a refining, petro-chemical or other related heavy industry.


Must be proficient in Microsoft:
Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must have a clean and valid drivers' license.
Must have strong initiative, leadership, collaboration and strategic/ critical thinking skills.
Preferred Job QualificationsAdditional education/certifications such as PE, MBA and. CRE are preferred.
Prior leadership experience preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
