Descrizione
We create smart innovations to meet the mobility challenges of today and tomorrow.

We design and manufacture a complete range of transportation systems, from high-speed trains to electric buses and driverless trains, as well as infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions.

Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.

The engineer has to perform system verification tasks relevant to contracts for interlocking projects applicable to domestic and foreign markets.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Interlocking (IXL) is a system composed by Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electric, Electronic and Software components having the aim to ensure safe movements of trains.

The purpose of the job is the identification and analysis of the customer and product requirements with the final target to contribute in defining standardized IXL architectures (functional, physical and operational) and the related configurations of the IXL equipment (pre-fitted concept) suitable for Tenders, prototyping, series production and project deployment.

The IXL System designer takes part to deployment of projects in case of specific issues or needs are identified along the project lifecycle requiring correcting/evolutive actions on the IXL architecture and pre-fitted solutions, with focus during the first deployment of the architecture/solution, ensuring proper verification and continuous improvement.

ROLE

As a Signalling Engineer it is requested to design, analyse, develop, test and demonstrate engineering solutions that solve complex requirements related to interlocking signalling domain dealing with national railways regulations and international standards ERTMS / ETCS requirements.

The role also requires providing cost and schedule estimates on tasks relevant to the technical design and verification of IXL, provide support to other departments as needed.

Tasks details:
- _Review signalling technical specifications_
- _Estimate costs and schedules planning for own tasks in cooperation with management_
- _Check and provide feedbacks to the engineering IXL Design for systems and signalling interfaces, collect and analyse technical data related to interlocking_
- _Solve system level design problems performing system trade-off and coordination studies_
- _Propose alternative solutions, develops reliability, safety and maintainability approaches in the interlocking logic code_
- _Test, demonstrate and provide adequate documentation for main line systems level designs, develop logic test procedures, attend / lead design reviews internally and meetings with customer_
- _Information sharing with colleagues by a proactive teamworking approach_
