    • We need a skilled Assistant Property Manager to perform community accounting functions and assist with administration, leasing, and personnel supervision.

    Your Responsibilities:

    1. Collect and secure rental payments.
    2. Scan daily bank deposits and verify their accuracy.
    3. Assist the Community Director with daily rate approvals in Yieldstar.
    4. Input daily activity transactions in Yardi and clear any outstanding validations.
    5. Prepare accurate accounting records and reports, including deposit accounting and monthly closeout.
    6. Verify the accuracy of move-outs for integration with rental collection companies.
    7. Deliver late rent letters and notices to vacate, and contact residents with unpaid rent daily.
    8. Be responsible for bad debt collection until no longer applicable.
    9. Assist in eviction processes and follow policies for local municipalities.
    10. Enter activity into YARDI related to checklists and Skip Watch information (if applicable).
    11. Assist the Community Director with Apartment Ratings responses.
    12. Help achieve positive SatisFact scores.
    13. Assist with leasing duties, including showing apartments and preparing leases via E-signature if applicable.
    14. Maintain organized community office files.
    15. Stay informed of laws and regulations concerning leasing and management, such as Fair Housing, collections, evictions, towing, and pool enclosures.
    16. Prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
    17. Handle or assist with work orders for resident service requests.
    18. Assist in inspecting vacant apartments and preparing them for market.
    19. Promote resident retention through the renewal program.
    20. Perform periodic inspections of common areas.
    21. Report maintenance issues observed.
    22. Assist in planning and preparing resident functions.
    23. Follow all policies and safety procedures outlined in the operations manual.
    24. Adhere to safety policies and use safety equipment as required.
    25. Perform duties of the Community Director as directed.
    26. Always be courteous and helpful to residents, prospects, and coworkers.
    27. Have reliable transportation for meetings and supplies.
    28. Maintain communication methods for contact and emergencies.
    29. Be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and evenings.
    30. Willing to be assigned to other Highmark communities as needed.
    31. Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Director.
    32. Travel and overnight stays may be required.

    You Must:

    • Have high school level mathematical skills.
    • Strive for excellence.
    • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • possess leadership and team-building skills.
    • have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook, and internet use.
    • preferably have apartment management experience.
    • have strong proficiency in property management software (preferably Yardi).
    • hold a valid driver's license.
    • prefer tax credit experience.
