Florence Jr/Sr High School - Provide daily administrative and office management support for the counseling department
- Serve as a receptionist for the counseling office; answer, screen, route, and document telephone calls and messages
- Maintain and enter student attendance records accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, and staff regarding attendance policies, absences, suspensions, enrollment status, and related procedures
- Compile, prepare, and submit required weekly, monthly, and year-end reports
- Assist with ordering, processing, and tracking supplies and materials, including graduation-related items
- Collect, maintain, and update confidential student records, including transcripts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student files and records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Print and distribute attendance notification letters for students reaching established absence thresholds (4, 7, and 10 absences)
- Maintain monthly student behavior documentation as required
- Maintain student athlete records, including physicals, drug testing permissions, handbook acknowledgments, and related compliance documents
- Maintain current transportation and bus information for new and existing students
- Prepare, type, and distribute correspondence, reports, and records
- Take and transcribe notes as needed for official documentation
- Collaborate with local agencies and school personnel as appropriate
- Demonstrate strong public relations skills while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
- Minimum of one (1) year of prior office or administrative experience preferred
- Successful completion of all required criminal background checks and fingerprinting
- Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and operational manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, staff, and the public
- 175-day contract, 8.5 hours per day, schedule determined by district calendar
- Salary placement according to the Classified Salary Schedule
- Up to five (5) years of directly related experience may be credited
