Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a/an Junior System Engineer located in Milan, Italy.

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, the Junior System Engineer role involves the development of customized products, such as as Medical Equipment, Medical Devices, Consumables/Disposables and Drug Delivery devices, with proven experience in mechanical design of miniaturised parts.

You will work in cross-functional technical teams working on international projects, with a systemic approach, developing prototypes into products ready for mass production.


What a typical day looks like:
You define product requirements, architecture, and technical risks pertaining to product safety, security, and its robustness as part of cross-functional teams and together with other internal and external stakeholdersFrequently you will engage with and provide technical input and perspective to engineering peers atour customers and support the Flex business development team when they engage with customersYou provide insights to engineering leadership about technical questions and possible development paths to meet customers expectationsYou participate in customer and internal technical design reviews, follow up on customer and/or project issues and help to drive resolutionsThe experience were looking to add to our team:
Ideally you already have a strong proven track record in mechanical design of miniaturised parts down to about millimeter size (experience in medical is not strictly necessary, but a nice to have)Previous experience working as part of cross-functional international design engineering teams would be another nice to haveFirst experience leading technical teams (mechanical or multidisciplinary) is a nice to haveSolid knowledge, and ideally previous experience in design for manufacturing (DFM) of high volume productsSomeone who has first knowledge of product requirements, architecture, or tech risk managementBasic experience of technical support to the Sales force in Business Development activities is another nice to haveProfessional English, both written and spoken (C1/C2) is necessary to succeed in this role and any additional languages such as Italian or German are a nice to haveWhat youll receive for the great work you provide:
