We are looking for a Local Compliance and AML Officer for Assistance business based in Milan or Rome.


The AXA Partners Compliance Officer is responsible for assisting the Central Compliance Function in implementing and ensuring a robust and effective compliance function across all business units within the Assistance Business in Italy.

The IAXA Partners Compliance Officer will work as part of the Central Compliance team to implement policies and procedures and ensure deliverance of the annual Compliance Plan.

As part of the AXA Partners Compliance Team, the AXA Partners Compliance officer will also work on Global projects across all Geographies and Business Units.

The role will also cover IVASS reporting for Italy, scope Assistance business.


DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

  • Member of AXA Partners Compliance Team
  • Local regulatory reporting
  • 2 nd line Monitoring of local business activity
  • Provide BAU Compliance support to all Business Unit within the Assistance Business, including deal approval and review
  • Provide Regulatory advice to all Business Units within the Assistance Business
  • Support Global Compliance Projects as required, including Regulatory Change
  • Conduct Compliance Monitoring Reviews in line with the annual Compliance Plan
  • Preparation of Compliance Metrics for local Board and EXCOM reporting purposes
  • Conduct Compliance Training and Awareness programs across AXA Partners, scope Assistance Business
  • Role will work across AXA Partners, promoting a One AXA Partners Compliance team across all business lines and Geographies
  • To work collaboratively with others in the Legal and Compliance function to ensure a One AXA approach and to help create an effective combined AP General Secretary team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the role out of centrally driven Compliance plan across all business units within the Assistance Business in Italy
  • Second line monitoring of local business, scope Assistance Business
  • Maintain a strong presence in the business to ensure the development of robust Compliance Culture.
  • Work with local Central Compliance team to ensure strong and consistent business support for the Italian Market, scope Assistance Business
  • Reporting on local metrics including ABC requirements
  • Drive business Compliance with applicable national and international regulatory requirements
  • Provide support for the assessment, monitoring and quantification of Regulatory and Compliance risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Group Standard requirements.
  • Work with the Senior Compliance Officer and CCO to ensure that internal policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance are reviewed at least annually, and are easily accessible to all employees.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues and matters requiring approval, centrally
  • Regular reporting to Local ExCom and other company stakeholders as required.
  • Responsibility for Special Projects where required

Reporting/ Working Relationships:


  • Reporting line Senior Compliance Officer (direct manager)
  • Report line to local Gen Sec (hierarchical)

Working relationships with:


  • AXA Partners CCO
  • Local Regional ExCom & Gen Sec teams
  • AXA Partners Heads of Geographies
  • AXA Partners Legal heads of Geographies
  • Local Data Protection Officer

Your Profile SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**- Minimum of 3-5 years working within the Compliance, Complaints, Audit or Risk team or a regulated insurance company or group.

  • Understanding and experience of local insurance regulatory framework.
  • Ability to travel to the business operation to oversee effectiveness of local compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance products and distribution models.
  • Ability to manage several reporting lines
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in Italian and English.
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadline, prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility in a fast paced changing environment.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to influence with persuasive skills and a high level of personal integrity
  • Critical thinking and good analytical skills
  • Strong decision making skills is a core requirement.
