Location:
Remote working, based within a commutable distance to Rome city centre

Onsite work will occasionally be required, based on business needs

Key responsibilities:


  • Manage the monthly bookkeeping recording of purchase invoices, raising client invoices, preparing the bank reconciliation, posting of journals, recording expense reports for key staff members
  • Manage working capital including billing and overseeing credit control for the business including processing supplier payments
  • Reconciliation of revenue and work in progress
  • Liaising with external accountant support (payroll accountants and tax accountants)
  • Develop strong relationships within the global finance team and liaising with them to deal with any administrative and finance related queries
  • Preparation of cashflow forecasting for group reporting purposes
  • Accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts ensuring they reflect best knowledge of the activities of the business and Anthesis accounting policy (IFRS) for Group Board Reporting
  • Ensuring Netsuite administrative data is up to date e.g. suppliers, clients and employees
  • Assisting the Directors with any adhoc administrative tasks arising during the daytoday business for example the management of the credit card expenses
  • Working with the group finance teams reconciling intercompany balances on a monthly basis

Summary of role:

Anthesis Group UK are looking for an organised, efficient, and hard-working Accountant based in Italy.

The role will report directly to the Managing Director of Italy and indirectly to Rest of World Finance Business Partner who will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the business using Oracle NetSuite.

The role will also be responsible for providing key administrative support to the Managing Directors and the wider Italian team as well as working on ad-hoc duties for the Group Finance Team.


Anthesis is a fast paced and growing business, and this role is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow with the business.

As controls are not yet fully established, it will require a proactive self-starter who has the ability and desire to drive positive change.

The role will also require someone who is able to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment.


Key requirements:


  • Experience working as an accountant within an Italian business with knowledge of local accounting and tax regulatory requirements
  • Experience using accounting software/CRM platform
  • Fluent in Italian with excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • A quick learner who is data driven with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Selfstarter with first class organisational skills, who is detail oriented, and results focused, and able to oversee and to manage the financial administration of several areas at once
