Milan we are looking for a:

Technical Manager - Renewable Energy

As part of Aquila Capital, Aquila Clean Energy in Italy is developing and constructing a variety of Renewable Assets, including large scale solar photovoltaics and agrovoltaic and utility scale Battery Storage.

As the Technical Manager you will be reporting to the Director Project Development Italy and give input on the various engineering and technical aspects of our fast growing pipeline of projects throughout the country.

Your responsibilities.

Provide expertise to the development teams locally or abroad, by performing preliminary layout studies, energy yield assessments, review of grid connection documents, review of permitting documentation and studies performed by third parties, project optimization, and produce engineering deliverables for permitting (environmental, electrical or municipality).
Work closely with the Procurement department for EPC/BoP contracts, by preparing the RFP's technical specifications, evaluating the technical offers received and by reviewing the technical annexes in the agreements
Technical guidance to our Construction department by reviewing all technical designs, calculations and engineering studies (electrical, automation, security, etc.) produced by contractors. Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning. Liaise with Owner's Engineer and other technical advisory entities.
Give input to asset management team with technical expertise
Develop documents and tools to optimize department's procedures.
At ease with both mature and innovative renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, storage, etc.)
Provide technical expertise and ability to solve unexpected difficulties
Occasional travels throughout Iberia (to site or for internal or external stakeholder meetings) as well as sporadic trips to the Aquila Head quarters in Hamburg

Your qualifications

Higher Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline
At least 5 years of experience, with a track record as an engineer, technical consultant or Technical Manager in Renewable Energy projects
Experience in utility scale Renewable Energy projects of Solar and/or Wind
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Advanced skills in CAD, PVSyst and PV Case
Business and technical language fluency in Italian is mandatory, good English skills
