    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our hotel's procurement needs.

    This role will report directly to the Director of Purchasing and be responsible for developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies.

    Located in the heart of Rome, adjacent to Termini Station and within walking distance to the Colosseum, Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and exceptional leisure experiences.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Assist in sourcing high-quality food, beverages, linens, equipment, and supplies at optimal costs.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, and operations teams to maintain stock levels.
    • Inspect and verify deliveries to ensure quality and quantity meet purchase orders.
    • Lift, move, and store goods and supplies while adhering to safety guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier contracts, and pricing data.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
    • Work closely with accounting to manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of Business Central is highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in English language.
