A new Luxury brand based in Milan, Italy, are currently looking for a Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant.

Responsibilities:
- Examination, classification and coding of the accounting documents (invoices, bank statements, payroll documents,);
- Recording and checking of all the transactions carried out in the books of account (general journal and VAT records);
- Preparation and filing with the Tax Authorities of the communication of cross border transactions ("esterometro");
- Reconciliation of the bank accounts;
- Keeping document archives;
- Issuing einvoices;
- Ensuring timely receipt of funds from corporate customers;
- Insert payment requests in the system in order to be approved by the Controllers;
- Preparation, printing and custody of VAT registers of purchase and sales;
- Preparation, printing and custody of VAT registers of Intracommunity transactions (if any);
- Preparation, printing, custody and updating of the general journal ("Libro giornale");
- Preparation, printing, custody and updating of the register of depreciableassets ("Registro beni ammortizzabili");
- Preparation of the year
- Liaise with the external controller, HQ and external auditors for the preparation of timely and accurate Financial Statements, periodic management accounts and other ad hoc reports as requested by the Management;
- Liaise as needed with external actors such as banks, authorities, suppliers and corporate customers, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the company regarding financial matters.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant in the fashion industry;
- Experience in the Italian luxury fashion industry will be considered an advantage;
- Degree in Accounting and Finance or any other relevant field;
- Knowledge of Italian tax/VAT regulations;
- Time management and ability to work under pressure and within deadlines;
- Keen attention to detail and production of work with a high level of accuracy;
- Fluency in English and Italian languages;
- Knowledge of French will be considered an advantage;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel;
- Good communication skills.
