About Villa d'Este

Villa d'Este is an iconic five-star luxury hotel located in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.

Amongst the finest expressions of mid-sixteenth-century architecture, it is surrounded by a private 10-hectar park with centennial plants and fascinating work of arts.

A Hotel since 1873, it is today a symbol of timeless luxury and eternal elegance.


Villa d'Este offers 152 rooms and suites divided between the Cardinal's Building and the Queen's Pavilion and 4 private Villas that allow a private and exclusive experience.

Our culinary journey includes 3 restaurants, the elegant Veranda with its refined cuisine, the Grill for more informal yet chic dining and Il Platano, the most intimate of Villa d'Este restaurants.

For a drink or a light snack guests may choose between the elegant Bar Canova and the more relaxed Sundeck by the floating pool.

The hotel also includes the Beauty Centre and the Sporting Club with a heated indoor pool, gym, sauna, Turkish bath, squash court, electronic golf, putting green, fitness trail and 8 tennis courts.

Villa d'Este celebrates its 150th season this year, with special events and the exceptional opening until January 2023.

Position Summary


As a Guest Relations Manager you will be responsible for managing the relationship with our VIPs and Guests, from pre arrival communications to their departure, ensuring the highest level of dedication, personalization and service excellence.


Job Description:

Display the highest level of knowledge and care in all interactions with VIPs and guests, from pre-arrival communications to departure
Nurture the relationship with all guests showing an authentic interest in preferences to ensure a personalized approach to suggestions and enquires
Welcome Guests and VIPs personally and is the main point of contact throughout the stay to ensure dedication and satisfaction at all times
Maintain an efficient dialogue and coordination with Front of House, Housekeeping and all relevant departments to ensure the highest level of service
Think creatively to imagine and develop new tools and experiences that are a reflection of excellence and Villa d'Este lifestyle
Addresses and handles guests' complaints with empathy and understanding and ensures a timely resolution and involving appropriate stakeholders
Ensure the highest level of confidentiality protecting guests' privacy and information
Establish, maintain and nurture effective relationships with guests, colleagues and outside contractors
Take an active involvement in ensuring quality standards are executed consistentlyUse the property systems to track communications, requests and complaints

Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in luxury hotels in a similar role
Exceptional communication and excellent planning skills
Refined manners with a high sense of hospitality and attention to detail
Strong written and spoken Italian and English; French would be considered a plus
Knowledge of PMS system (Opera) and departmental standards (LQA, Forbes)
Legal right to work in Italy
