    Purchasing Department Overview

    The Purchasing department at Videotec oversees purchasing of direct and indirect materials, new products introduction, suppliers for building maintenance, commodities, passive cycle suppliers, and certifications.

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will coordinate a team of 2 resources and work with the global Procurement Team to develop purchasing strategies aligned with business unit requests.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and Indirect procurement processes in accordance with corporate procedures, terms & conditions, and specifications from supplier definition to goods receipt.
    • Vendor Management activities: Suppliers scouting and evaluation, defining solutions for quality, pricing, and lead time; supplier development and improvement; prices monitoring and reduction; risk evaluation and corrective actions.
    • Vendor relationship activities: Business negotiations, long-term agreements, orders dispatch, monitoring, and expediting; invoices receipt and registration for passive cycle; declaration collections (e.g. Reach+Rohs, COO).
    • Vendor rating: Evaluation of suppliers in terms of quality, pricing, on-time delivery, and corrective actions.

    Collaboration with Planning, Production, R&D, Quality, and International Procurement teams is essential for demand definition, product portfolio maintenance, and strategic sourcing.

    Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills

    We seek a proactive individual with 5-10 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager, previous managerial experience, and expertise in purchasing of mechanical parts, carpentry parts, die casting, and electronics.

    Strong team working capabilities, result-driven mindset, and orientation towards innovation are essential.

    Bachelor's degree in engineering or economics is required, along with fluency in English and Italian, and proficiency in Microsoft office/Google suite.
