We are now searching for a new employee for one of our Business Areas, Arribatec Marine which specialises in the digitalisation of the maritime sector.

For 40 years we have been dedicated to the design, development, and implementation of fleet management systems worldwide.

We are passionate about maximising our customers' returns, providing increased control over their marine operations, and creating competitive advantages through our self-developed software Infoship.


About the role


As a Junior Finance Controller, you will play a key role in supporting our finance team with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

This position requires strong knowledge of English, as well as proficiency in finance and accounting principles.


Responsibilities

Financial Data Analysis:

  • Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify trends or discrepancies for further investigation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Review invoices, process payments, and ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain healthy customer relationships.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Support the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • General Ledger and Journal Entries:
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger and recording accurate journal entries.
  • Reconcile accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the monthend and yearend closing procedures.

Expense Management:

  • Assist in monitoring and controlling company expenses.
  • Review employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to optimize expense management processes.

Financial Systems and Tools:

  • Utilize financial software and tools to manage and analyze financial data effectively.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis techniques and reporting standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Italian to effectively communicate with the team and stakeholders.
  • Must be a resident of the Rapallo area in Italy.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Software Proficiency:
  • Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
